The National Publicity Secretary of the NNPP, Ladipo Johnson has evaluated its options:staying with the NNPP or forming a coalition with Atiku and others or forming an alliance with the APC (ruling party).
Johnson confirmed that they are in talks, but did not specify with whom or what the outcome will be.He however, stated that they typically wait until the midterm (May 29th) to make major political moves.

He also denied rumors that Senator Kwankwaso is imminently moving to the APC, saying that these are just “publications” and that the party’s position will be made clear soon.
