Man Suffers Broken Jaw While Trying to Stop Fight in Plateau Community

Tragedy struck in the peaceful community of Satkang (pedong), located in Fujal ward of Langtang South Local Government Area, Plateau State, when a well-meaning citizen, Mr. Enocen Dakien War’anba, sustained a severe injury while attempting to stop a fight between two adults.

According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation began after a heated argument escalated between the two men. As tempers flared, the situation turned violent, with both individuals resorting to hurling stones at each other. In an unfortunate twist of fate, a stray stone missed its intended target and struck Mr. War’anba on the lower jaw, fracturing it severely.

Mr. War’anba, who intervened in an attempt to restore peace and prevent further violence, is now battling for his life. He is currently receiving urgent medical attention, and his condition is described as critical.

The spokesperson for the police confirmed the arrest of the two individuals involved in the fight. Investigations are ongoing, and the authorities have pledged to ensure that justice is served.
