Wike Orders Immediate Action for New IBB Golf Club Management Committee

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has instructed the newly constituted Interim Management Committee of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Golf Club to commence operations without delay.

According to a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant, Lere Olayinka, the committee will operate under the supervision of the club’s Board of Trustees, chaired by Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, President of the Court of Appeal.

Wike emphasized that swift intervention is essential to resolve recent administrative challenges within the club.

The Interim Committee is led by Dr. Peter Deshi as Chairman, with Yomi Oyelola serving as Secretary. Other members include Gbenga Elegbeleye, Nanwor Mamven, Ekanem Ekwueme, Arabi Bello, Lawan Aboki, Okey Nnaedozie, Fred Otobo and Julius Fadairo.

He also reaffirmed that the IBB Golf Club remains the property of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
