Deputy Registrar, Others Suspended as Kogi Polytechnic Bursts Certificate Forgery Syndicate

The management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has uncovered a certificate and statement of results forgery syndicate involving some staff and students of the institution.

According to reliable sources, a Deputy Registrar has been suspended pending the outcome of investigations, following his alleged connection to the fraudulent activities.

In addition, four other suspects, comprising three current students and one former student, have been identified and arrested for their roles in the crime.

The management of the Polytechnic expressed shock over the development, describing it as a serious breach of institutional integrity. It further assured the public that those found culpable, irrespective of their status, would face appropriate disciplinary and legal actions.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to upholding academic standards and protecting the reputation of the institution from acts capable of undermining its credibility.
