Lagos Govt Vows to Ease Oshodi Pedestrian Bridge Congestion Amid Public Outcry
The Lagos State Government has assured commuters that it is taking steps to resolve the congestion at the alternative pedestrian bridge in Oshodi, following widespread complaints from residents.
The overcrowding intensified on Monday morning after the government ordered the closure of the main bridge in January due to safety concerns and structural weaknesses.
In a statement, the Commissioner for the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing the situation.
Wahab acknowledged the difficulties faced by pedestrians and confirmed that authorities were working on solutions.
