2027: Kwankwaso, Duke meets Ex president OBJ in Ogun

Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, in Abeokuta, have visited Former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Ogun State.

Kwankwaso, who was the New Nigeria People’s Party presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election, made this disclosure in a post on his X account later that night.

FUSION CHRONICLES NIGERIA NEWSPAPER gathered that the meeting took place at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library residence.

Kwankwaso, disclosed that the discussions focused on “significant national issues, including the future of politics and governance in Nigeria.”

According to him :, “I was pleased to be in the company of my friend, HE Donald Duke and other associates to pay a courtesy call on President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta

“Deliberations on significant national issues, including the future of politics and governance in Nigeria defined the conversation.
“We are grateful to Baba for his warm support and hospitality. – RMK”

The specific details of their conversation weren’t disclosed. The discussions may not be unconnected to preparations for the 2027 general elections and related political strategies.
