Madueke Hits Hat-Trick As Chelsea Destroy Wolves 6-2

Noni Madueke, the Nigerian-born winger, shines brightly as Chelsea demolished Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2 at Molineux, handing Enzo Maresca his first Premier League victory as the Blues’ manager on Sunday.

Maresca, who recently took over from Mauricio Pochettino after arriving from Leicester in the close season, endured a tough start with a 2-0 defeat against Manchester City last weekend. However, Chelsea quickly bounced back with a UEFA Conference League play-off win against Servette on Thursday, setting the stage for their dominant performance against Wolves.

Chelsea made a dream start just 98 seconds into the match when Matheus Cunha’s failed clearance from a corner landed at the feet of Nicolas Jackson, who headed in from six yards out. Wolves responded in the 27th minute, with Cunha, a constant thorn in Chelsea’s side, equalizing after capitalizing on a mistake by Moises Caicedo.

The first half concluded with Chelsea back in the lead, thanks to Cole Palmer’s elegant lob over Wolves’ goalkeeper Jose Sa in the 45th minute, following a deft flick from Jackson.

Chelsea continued their assault early in the second half. In the 49th minute, Palmer set up Madueke, whose shot deflected off Rayan Ait-Nouri to extend their lead. Madueke then showcased his clinical finishing ability, scoring two more goals in quick succession, both times taking advantage of Palmer’s playmaking skills.

The Blues’ dominance was capped off by a late strike from Joao Felix in the 80th minute. The Portuguese forward, recently signed permanently from Atletico Madrid, marked his return to Chelsea with a powerful shot into the top corner, sealing a resounding win.

This comprehensive victory not only highlighted Madueke’s hat-trick heroics but also underscored Maresca’s successful start at Chelsea, building momentum for the challenges ahead in the Premier League season.
