A young Kogi State graduate, John Johnson, was brutally killed and butchered by militia herdsmen in Zaina, near Angwar Hakimi, Orozo, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on March 29, 2025.
FCNN gathered that Johnson was attending a Boys’ Brigade camp when the attack occurred.

The 22-year-old had suffered a recent personal tragedy, losing his father to illness just last year. Reports indicate that Fulani boys ambushed Johnson and others at the camp. Miraculously, one person survived the attack.
Local Fulani community leaders have pledged to find the perpetrators, but 48 hours after the horrific crime, no arrests have been made.
