Greatness was recognized today by Argungu, and Greatness spoke with greatness today at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi. The occasion was the recognition of the greatness of our Rector, Dr Usman Sani Tunga by the Argungu Emirate Council under the distinguished royal leadership and authority of the Emir of ArgunguAlhaji Samaila Muhammadu Mera CON.
Dr Usman Tunga was bestowed with the historic and highly respected title of SANTURAKIN KABI. The title was conferred to Usman Tunga in recognition of his selfless services and limitless contributions to the growth and development of education, support to the poor, promotion of peace, youth development and in particular, the contributions to the growth of Argungu Emirate, Kebbi State, Nigeria and humanity.
The title was confirmed via a letter delivered by a senior councilor of the Emirate , the KUNDUDAN KABI. On hand to support the new SANTURAKIN KABI were the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr Nasir Idris KAURAN GWANDU, the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, a member of the House of Representatives and friend of the recipient, Bello Ka’oje, commissioners and other senior Government functionaries.
The turbanning ceremony will take place on a date to be announced soon.
