Adamawa Police Arrest Two for Murder of Missing 10-Year-Old Boy

Officers Recover Victim’s Remains in Suspects’ Residence

The Adamawa State Police Command has made a major breakthrough in its fight against violent crime with the arrest of two suspects linked to the gruesome murder of a 10-year-old boy in Jada Local Government Area.

According to a statement released on Sunday by Police Public Relations Officer CSP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspects—27-year-old Ibrahim Abdul Malik and 18-year-old Aliyu Abdul Malik, both residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, Jada—were taken into custody for the killing and beheading of a young Almajiri, Abdalla Lawali, from Anguwar Dubai, Jada.

Lawali was reported missing on March 7, 2025, prompting an intense search effort. Acting on intelligence, officers raided the suspects’ residence, where they discovered the victim’s decomposed body inside a sack. Further searches led to the shocking discovery of the severed head, which had been buried in a shallow grave within the house.

During questioning, the suspects confessed to the crime, blaming their actions on the influence of evil forces. Adamawa Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, condemned the act as barbaric and ordered that the case be handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough probe and prosecution.

Reassuring the public of justice, CP Morris urged parents and community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
