The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended several of its local government chairmen in Kogi State following internal disciplinary action taken on Monday, October 13, 2025. The affected chairmen are from Okene, Ajaokuta, Ogori–Magongo, Okehi, and Adavi local governments.
In addition to the suspensions, the party has directed its treasurer, youth leader, and several other members to appear before a disciplinary committee on Friday, October 17, 2025. The committee will investigate alleged violations of party regulations and submit recommendations to the state leadership, which could lead to warnings or additional sanctions in line with the ADC constitution.
Political observers note that such disciplinary actions often signal deeper restructuring within party ranks, especially as political alignments in Kogi remain fluid ahead of future elections. The Bureau News will continue to track the situation and provide updates as new information emerges.
