Adeleke Orders Establishment of Camps for Displaced Persons

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has mandated the formation of three camps for individuals displaced by the recent communal clash in Ifon, Ilobu, and Erin Osun.

This directive was announced in a statement by Malam Olawale Rasheed, the governor’s spokesperson, on Tuesday in Osogbo.

According to the statement,  governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State issued this order after confirming that his previous directive to distribute food and relief materials to the displaced individuals was being effectively implemented.

“Now that the distribution of food and relief materials has commenced, I have instructed the state emergency agency to establish camps for those affected. Each town will host a camp, likely in their town halls or other suitable locations,” said the governor.

“Additionally, security agencies have been tasked with screening displaced individuals for their transportation to the camps. The state emergency agency will supply food and necessary items for the displaced persons until the situation stabilizes” Adeleke added.
