AEC Unity Network Denies Geofocus Claims on Abuja-Lagos Super Highway and High-Speed Train Projects

AEC Unity Network Limited, the officially designated concessionaire for the Abuja-Lagos Super Highway and High-Speed Train projects, has firmly denied any association with AEC-Geofocus Consortium (Geofocus) or its representatives.

In a statement released yesterday, the company reaffirmed its exclusive rights to design, finance, construct, operate, and maintain the 470-kilometer superhighway and high-speed rail project. This initiative is a key component of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA) legacy projects.

The firm clarified that a claim credited to Geofocus suggesting involvement in the project was misleading. It emphasized that the approvals for the project were granted solely to AEC Unity Network by the Federal Ministry of Works, the Federal Ministry of Finance, and the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).

In a statement signed by Ayodeji Ademola, Esq, of Dipo Okpeseyi (SAN) & Co Chambers, the company stated:

“We categorically state that AEC Unity Network Limited has no relationship whatsoever with Engineer Mutiu Yinka Idris, Prince Fisayo, or Geofocus. These fraudulent claims are completely at variance with our proposed infrastructure plans and are intended to confuse and defraud unsuspecting stakeholders.”

AEC Unity Network highlighted that the project is still in its planning stages and reiterated that no other concurrent developments have been authorized along the Abuja-Lagos corridor. The company warned local and foreign investors to disregard any claims or publications made by Geofocus or its sponsors.

The firm assured the public of its dedication to transparency and professionalism, urging stakeholders to seek information only through its official channels.
