Alleged Shooting of Driver by Soldier Sparks Massive Traffic Gridlock in Ganaja Village in Lokoja, Kogi State.

A severe traffic gridlock has crippled movement in and around the Ganaja Bridge area of Kogi State following the deliberate parking of a lorry across the bridge by aggrieved drivers.
According to eyewitness reports, the drivers blocked the bridge in protest after a soldier allegedly shot one of them in both legs. Sources claim the incident began when soldiers reportedly demanded a tip from the drivers.
When the drivers’ offer was deemed unsatisfactory, the soldiers allegedly pursued them and shot one of the men.
In retaliation, the drivers vowed not to move the lorry until the government addresses their grievances and takes action against the alleged abuse. The resulting blockade has left countless travelers stranded, with commuters facing long hours of delay.
Transport workers have expressed deep frustration, citing significant financial losses during what should be a peak earning period.
