FIRS Officially Announces Nationwide Recruitment

 

 

 

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has on Monday, 21 October, 2024, officially announced upcoming recruitment across the country

The agency stated in an official announcement on its verified X page that the opportunity is open for both young and dynamic graduates who wish to join the FIRS as Tax Officers (Officer I and Officer II) in various locations across Nigeria.

The agency also called on prospective employees to apply.

According to FIRS, the recruitment will gives opportunities for individuals eager to make a significant impact on public service and contribute to national development through efficient tax administration.

The FIRS however stated that it seeks candidates who are not only skilled but also courageous, principled, and ready to excel in the field of taxation, encouraging young professionals with strong integrity and a passion for problem-solving, analytical thinking, and effective communication to apply.

Ideal candidates are also expected to demonstrate the ability to thrive in a professional environment and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s tax revenue maximization efforts.

The agency said “Therefore, the recruitment drive focuses on filling the ranks of its Officer I and Officer II positions with dedicated individuals who will help the agency achieve its goal of simplifying tax collection and increasing national revenue,”

Although, specific details regarding application procedures, deadlines, and submission requirements have not yet been released, but interested applicants are encouraged to stay tuned for updates as FIRS stated it will soon publish the detailed application guidelines on its official website
