Any officer caught in job racketeering will be dismissed – Kogi NSCDC warns

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kogi Commander has cautioned its personnel in the state, vowing to dismiss any officer found guilty of job racketeering.
This caution was made by the Kogi State Commandant of the NSCDC, Akinlade Esther, on Thursday during the opening of a three-day workshop themed, “Incessant Job Racketeering and Financial Fraud in the Corps.”
The commandant while addressing officers in Lokoja, the state capital, she highlighted the damaging impact of unethical practices on the agency’s integrity and operational standards.
“Any officer caught in the act of job racketeering will be dismissed,” she declared, stressing the need for adherence to professional ethics.
She added, “Our actions today align with the directive of the astute Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, whose policies and strategies are focused on capacity building for the Corps.
“Together, we can stand united against any form of malpractice that undermines the trust placed in us by the public and threatens the integrity of our noble agency.
“Let the lessons learned here today guide our actions and inspire us to be beacons of integrity in a world where deceit and fraud lurk in the shadows.”
In a related address, the Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission , Kogi State Office, Mr. Ulu Okoro, urged NSCDC personnel to uphold values of honesty, diligence, and respect for the rule of law.
“Let us be the guardians of truth and defenders of justice. Only through our unwavering dedication to these principles can we honour the trust bestowed upon us by the people we serve,” he stated
