Armed Men Opens Fire In Ogun Restaurant Killing Two, Others Injured
Three armed men in an unregistered black Toyota Hilux, around 12:30 AM on November 11, 2024, opened fire in a restaurant that left Two individuals killed while two others are recovering at the Federal Medical Center in Idi Aba, Abeokuta
The shooting was said to take place in the parking lot of Diamond Dumplings.
FCNN bbbbb that the armed men confronted the occupants of a black Mercedes Benz GLE 350 with a DLA license plate, demanding the car keys and reportedly opened fire, hitting one Ola (surname unknown) and one Shobanke Oluwatimileyin.
The divisional police officer from Ibara who responded to the distress calls arrived at the scene and ensured the area was secure before transporting the victims to the hospital.
Unfortunately, the doctor confirmed two dead, while the other two individuals are receiving medical attention.
Omolola Odutola, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the incident, saying a preliminary investigation has been put in place to examine the factors that led to the two deaths and to assess any potential links to cult activities.
Odutola added that the public will be informed about the progress of the investigation in the coming days.
