Arsenal Drags Man Utd To Court Over Obi- Martin’s Transfer.

Arsenal is preparing to take legal action against Manchester United regarding the signing of young player, Chido Obi-Martin.

Football journalist Christopher Michel has reported that Arsenal is unhappy with the way in which Obi-Martin, who had an impressive record with Arsenal’s under-18 team, joined Manchester United.

Despite scoring 32 goals and providing three assists in 24 games for Arsenal, the youngster was able to leave for free as his contract had expired. Manchester United expressed interest in signing him.

The Athletic had previously reported that Manchester United would need to pay a fee to Arsenal due to Obi-Martin’s age. The transfer also had to be approved by the Premier League.

While both clubs initially hoped to reach an agreement outside of the court, it seems that legal action may be necessary at this point.

Michel wrote on X, “Although Chido Obi Martin’s contract at #Arsenal has expired, I heard that #MUFC can’t just sign him on a free transfer.

“Very complicated… He is therefore only training individually and has not yet been presented. Possibly this will go before a court.”
