
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has reaffirmed his commitment to involving women in governance. During a courtesy visit by members of the Wushishi Women Progressives Forum at the Government House in Minna, Governor Bago praised women for their hard work and discipline, acknowledging their instrumental role in his emergence as governor.
FCNN gathered that farmer Umaru Bago promised to continue giving women opportunities to participate in governance.
He reaffirmed his promise to give women Vice Chairperson positions in all 25 Local Government Areas.
The governor assured women that he would introduce various empowerment projects to enable them to contribute to nation-building.

However,the Chairperson of the Wushishi Women Progressives Forum, Asma’u Gambo, expressed appreciation for the governor’s achievements in agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure, describing them as unprecedented.
She further acknowledged the positive impact of his projects on the lives of people, particularly women, in Wushishi.
Asma’u Gambo reassured Governor Bago of the forum’s continued support for his people-oriented policies and programs aimed at improving lives.
