BIPC Delivers Hope: Bread & Water Every 3 Days for Yelewata IDPs
In a compassionate response to the recent Yelewata massacre, the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has donated 500 loaves of bread and 1,000 bags of sachet water to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
The donation was made Tuesday at the IDP camp located at the International Market, Makurdi. Leading the delegation, BIPC Group Managing Director, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha-CFA, pledged to continue delivering bread and water every three days to support the displaced families.

He also reaffirmed Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s commitment to restoring peace and ensuring no community is left behind in the recovery process.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the camp, the Permanent Secretary of Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Sir James Iorpuu—represented by Dr. Donald Komgbenda—thanked BIPC for its timely support. He revealed that the camp currently shelters 3,078 IDPs from 1,277 households, including 1,057 men and 2,027 women and children.
The donation follows a deadly attack on Yelewata that left scores dead and hundreds displaced, escalating the region’s humanitarian crisis.
