Body of Two-Year-Old Girl Recovered from Well in Oyo State

Tragedy struck in the Saki Local Government Area of Oyo State as the lifeless body of a two-year-old girl was recovered from a deep well at Orita Mokola Junction, Seedu Sabarumu, Sango.
The Oyo State Fire Services Agency’s Saki Zonal Command led the recovery operation. The incident was confirmed on Wednesday in Ibadan by the Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Fire Services Agency Reform, Maroof Akinwande.
According to Akinwande, the agency received an emergency call at 1:43 p.m. reporting that a child had fallen into a well. Firefighters, led by PFS11 Saka, swiftly responded, and rescue personnel, including CFM Adediran Jacob, conducted a search and recovery operation inside the well.
The child’s body was eventually recovered and handed over to police officers led by Chief Superintendent of Police Odunbanjo Kehinde for further investigation.
While the exact cause of the incident remains unknown, the Fire Service Post-Incident Investigation Team has launched an inquiry to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.

Akinwande urged residents to take necessary precautions by securing wells and septic tanks to prevent similar accidents in the future.
