Brain Jotter Mourns Late Music Legend Mike Ejeagha, Creator of Viral ‘Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo’ Hit
Skit maker Brain Jotter has paid tribute to legendary highlife musician Mike “Gentleman” Ejeagha, who passed away after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer.
Ejeagha, renowned for his storytelling style and the evergreen hit “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo,” saw a resurgence in popularity when the song sparked a viral dance challenge on social media. The challenge attracted over 29.1 million views and 30,000 comments on Instagram, along with 19.6 million views on TikTok — making the track a cross-generational anthem once again.
In honor of the music icon, Brain Jotter visited him before his passing and gifted him ₦2 million. The skit maker later shared a touching video and message on Instagram, celebrating Ejeagha’s life and musical legacy.
