Kindly share this story

Former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan is reportedly preparing to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and rejoin the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to emerging reports, Jonathan may formally announce his departure from the PDP as early as today. The anticipated move is already generating discussions within Nigeria’s political space, as it could significantly reshape alignments ahead of the next major elections.

Jonathan served as Nigeria’s president between 2010 and 2015 under the PDP and remained a prominent figure within the party for many years. His possible return to the ADC is expected to strengthen the party’s position and influence within the country’s political landscape.

So far, neither Jonathan nor the PDP leadership has released an official statement confirming the development. However, political observers expect more clarity to emerge as the situation unfolds.
