<span;>Obi, who finished third in the last presidential election, is expected to run again in 2027.
Although he has expressed support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), he has not formally resigned from the Labour Party or declared his membership of the ADC.
On the other hand, there have been calls for former President Goodluck Jonathan, who lost his re-election bid in 2015, to run again, although he has not commented on such.
