Breaking:EFCC Apprehend Vote Buyers -Edo Election

Operatives from the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC) have taken into
custody several individuals suspected of
buying votes in the current Edo Governorship election.

However, this move has sparked
controversy, with some locals opposing the arrest, claiming they’re being unfairly targeted.

The EFCC has been proactive in warning
against vote buying and selling in the Edo
State governorship election, stating that these activities are criminal offenses under the Electral Act.

The commission has also
collaborated with the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) to track and
prevent electoral funding malpractices and
vote buying.
