CAF WCL: Edo Queens Lost To FC Masar In Third-Placed Play-Off

Edo Queens lost to fellow debutant FC Masar on penalty shootout in the third-placed play-off at the ongoing 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.

According to FCNN after the game ended 0-0 draw in 90 minutes regulation time the game went to penalties with FC Masar winning 4-3.

In their first meeting in the group stage the game ended 0-0.

It is back-to-back defeats for Edo Queens who also lost 3-1 to DR Congo’s TP Mazembe In the semi-finals.

Edo Queens defeated Ethiopia’s CBE 3-0 in their first Group B game, drew against FC Masar before earning a dramatic 2-1 comeback win against champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Meanwhile, the final will be played with TP Mazembe and hosts AS FAR.
