UniJos Students Protest Over Dirty Hostels, Lock School Gates
Students of the University of Jos protested this morning over poor conditions in their hostels.
The protest reportedly started because hostel cleaners stopped working after not being paid, causing the hostels to become very dirty and unhealthy.
The situation got worse as students locked the gates to the university’s permanent site, and even some students inside the hostels were locked out.
The school management has not said anything yet, but the protest shows that students are unhappy and want better living conditions on campus.
