Presidential Aide Aliyu Audu Resigns

Aliyu Audu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Public Affairs, has officially resigned from his position.
In a letter dated June 8 and addressed through the President’s Chief of Staff, Audu stated, “I write to formally tender my resignation… effective immediately.” He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve, calling it a privilege to work under his “visionary leadership.”
Audu also acknowledged Ajuri Ngelale, the former presidential spokesman, whose recommendation led to his appointment on August 26, 2023.
“It has been an honour to contribute to the public communication efforts of this administration,” Audu wrote, closing the letter with well wishes for the President’s success and the progress of the country.

As of the time of this report, the Presidency has not issued an official response to his resignation.
