CR7 dropped for two straight matches amid transfer protest

Al-Nassr manager Jorge Jesus has left Cristiano Ronaldo out of the squad for Friday’s Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Ittihad.

The absence marks the second consecutive league fixture the 41-year-old forward will miss.

‎Reports indicated that Ronaldo is staging a personal protest linked to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), the sovereign wealth fund that owns several top clubs in the league.

Sources suggested that Ronaldo is dissatisfied with what he believes is insufficient financial backing for Al-Nassr compared to league rivals, particularly Al-Hilal.

‎His continued absence has intensified speculation about his future at the club as the season progresses.
