Dapper Music Responds To Allegations By Shallipopi, Muyeez

Dapper Music & Entertainment, a music label, has responded to accusations from two of its former artists, Shallipopi and Muyeez. The artists had alleged that the label was guilty of mismanagement, exploitation, and a lack of transparency in their contractual agreements.
In its official statement, Dapper Music strongly refuted these claims. The label asserted that all contracts are drafted with clarity, fairness, and mutual consent in mind. They also highlighted that artists are given the opportunity to seek legal counsel before signing any agreements.
This response from Dapper Music comes as an attempt to address the concerns raised by the former artists and to maintain the label’s reputation in the music industry.
The label explained that the 30% management commission is a standard industry practice, reflecting the substantial investment required to launch and sustain artists’ careers.
The label denied allegations of a “forever deal” with Shallipopi, stating that the terms of his contract were renegotiated in October 2024.
Dapper Music also expressed surprise at Shallipopi’s alleged “false claims,” stating that they had been cooperating with the auditors he engaged.
“We do not have any agreements with Mr. Crown Uzama that tie the artist’s future earnings to our business indefinitely.
“Our contracts solely relate to recordings and opportunities worked on and provided by our team within the contract term, which is common practice in the recording industry
