Defence Minister Visits Late Brig. Gen. B.M. Uba, Consoles Family

The Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Brigadier General B. M. Uba, whose death in active service has deeply touched the nation.
Brig. Gen. Uba lost his life during a fierce battle with terrorists in Wajiroko, Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State, while bravely leading operations to safeguard his troops and defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
During the visit, Gen. Musa expressed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, hailing the fallen officer as a true patriot whose life embodied bravery, selflessness, and unshakeable commitment to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He reassured the family that the Armed Forces of Nigeria would preserve Brig. Gen. Uba’s legacy, noting that his ultimate sacrifice would always be remembered. The Defence Minister also affirmed the government’s resolve to continue supporting the family he left behind.
The visit was marked by an outpouring of emotion as family members, fellow officers, and community residents reflected on the late general’s exceptional leadership, professionalism, and humility.
