Delta Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident Hours After Escaping Kidnap Attempt

A man identified simply as Ability has tragically died in a motorcycle accident, just hours after surviving a kidnap attempt at his residence in Delta State.

The incident was made public by human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, through a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday.

According to Gwamnishu, armed kidnappers had stormed Ability’s home, but their plan was thwarted by his alert security guard. Sadly, less than 24 hours later, Ability lost his life in a motorcycle crash while on his way to visit his wife.

In a video shared alongside the post, Ability’s lifeless body is seen in a casket. Gwamnishu wrote:

“Mr. Ability, who escaped kidnapping yesterday, died this evening in a motorcycle accident.

This morning, we were at his house. He gave me Four Cousins (a wine) and thanked me for the work I do. Later, he asked to be taken by motorcycle to visit his wife—and that ride ended his life.

What kind of life is this? See strong Ability now lying in a casket. This is the worst news.

A man who survived over 17 bullets from kidnappers yesterday… slept, woke up, and now this evening he’s gone.”
