Edo killing: NPF arrest Dan-Taki over retaliatory attack threat
Hadaina Hussaini, also known as Dan-Taki, was arrested by the Kaduna State Police Command after posting a controversial social media message threatening retaliatory violence against Southerners.
The post came in response to the recent killings of 16 alleged hunters in Uromi, Edo State, and quickly ignited public outrage.
Hussaini, formerly affiliated with the Police Special Constabulary, invoked religious references to support his violent threats.
In the wake of backlash, he altered his Facebook profile, including changing his name and restricting access to his posts.
The Kaduna State Police Command clarified that Hussaini is not a current member of the Nigerian Police Force.
While he had served in the Police Special Constabulary, he was dismissed two years ago for misconduct.
The police also emphasized that the uniform in the viral photo was outdated and improper, as Hussaini no longer held the position.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing, and Hussaini will face legal action once it’s concluded.
