Eezee Conceptz Accuses Mercy Chinwo of Breach of Contract Amid $625,000 Payment Claims
Eezee Conceptz CEO Ezekiel ThankGod has accused gospel singer Mercy Chinwo of breaching their contract and manipulating institutions to gain control over a music catalog fully funded by the label. He made the allegations through a series of Instagram posts, sparking public attention.
According to Ezekiel, Mercy Chinwo, who was once his backup singer, has received $625,000 in earnings and royalties under a 50/50 agreement but has failed to meet contractual obligations, including delivering a third album.
“$625,000 – that is how much you have received from Eezee Concept to date. Yet you weaponize law enforcement and religious organizations to take over a catalog you didn’t financially contribute to,” Ezekiel wrote, accusing the singer of greed and betrayal.
He recalled providing significant support during the early stages of her career, including housing her and securing an apartment for her and her band leader. Despite these efforts, Ezekiel claimed Mercy Chinwo has withheld funds meant for the label and avoided reconciliation efforts.
The dispute reportedly began in 2022 when Mercy Chinwo ended her relationship with Eezee Conceptz over unresolved disagreements. She later shared a cryptic message asking God for protection from dishonest people, hinting at the ongoing fallout.

Ezekiel further alleged that he was illegally detained by the EFCC for nine days in connection with the dispute, during which $274,000 was extorted under duress. He expressed disappointment in Mercy Chinwo’s actions, calling for transparency by asking her to release her bank statements and details of songs received before and after signing with the label.
“I’ll continue to act lawfully, trusting the legal system and God to defend my peace and reputation,” Ezekiel concluded, while emphasizing Eezee Conceptz’s significant role in building Mercy Chinwo’s platform and influence.
The gospel music community remains divided as the legal and ethical implications of the feud unfold.
