Niger Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has sworn-in a new Council Chairman of Katcha Local Government, Zubairu Mohammed Essan.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago presided over the swearing ceremony as Senior Magistrate Court 7, Halima Yusuf administered oath of office and allegiance on the new Council Chairman.
He tasked the new Katcha local government council Chairman to be committed to ensure unity and peace in the Council.
The farmer Governor, while congratulating the new Chairman, promised to support him to succeed while calling on the people of Katcha to cooperate with the Chairman for their overall benefit.
Speaking in an interview, the New Katcha Council council chairman,Alh. Zubairu Mohammed Essan promised to serve diligently to ensure peace that would engender unprecedented development in the area.
The New Chairman was the Vice of late Danlami Saku who died on the 10th of December 2024 in a ghastly motor accident on his way to Abuja.
