FCT Police Arrest Gang Leader Over Ex-Girlfriend’s Fiancé’s Murder
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested a notorious gang leader, Abubakar Idris, popularly known as “Nishi,” along with his accomplices, Buhari Saidu and Musa Ahmadu Suleiman, for the murder of Ibrahim Danfulani.
According to the police, the suspects were apprehended after a thorough investigation that put an end to Nishi’s violent reign.
The incident, which occurred on November 27, 2024, was allegedly driven by Nishi’s anger over Danfulani’s plans to marry a woman Nishi claimed to have financially supported.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Ade, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Monday, praising the officers for their diligent efforts. She reassured the public of the police’s dedication to justice and safety.
“Investigation revealed that the trio, armed with knives, brutally attacked Ibrahim Danfulani, resulting in his untimely death,” Ade said.
She added that the gang also stole 18 cows belonging to the victim as “compensation” for Nishi’s perceived grievances.
Abubakar Idris was apprehended in Nasarawa State after fleeing the crime scene and allegedly planning to recruit new gang members to kill the woman in question.
