The Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) Police Command has dismissed reports of alleged plan by terrorists to attack and kidnap students from the University of Abuja campus.
Fusion Chronicles gathered that rumours of a potential attack is currently creating fear in the institution.
SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Command spokesperson in a statement, described the reports as “nothing but baseless publications propagated by rumour mongers whose intention is to create panic and apprehension among FCT residents and university community.
“The Command hereby reiterates its commitment to securing and safeguarding the lives and property of residents in the FCT as adequate deployment of personnel and equipment have been implemented to enhance the security situation within the FCT, which includes the University of Abuja, ” the police spokesperson said.
