FCTA appoints Nancy Nathan as Acting Head of Service

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has named Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan as Acting Head of Service.
Her appointment was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
Mrs. Nathan takes over following the death of Mrs. Grace Adayilo, who passed away last Monday. Adayilo, appointed by President Bola Tinubu in October 2024, was the first female and first indigenous Head of Service of the FCTA.
According to the statement, Nathan will serve in an acting capacity “pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.” If later confirmed, she would become the second woman to hold the position since the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission in October 2023.
Before her new role, Nathan was Permanent Secretary of the FCTA’s Youth Development Secretariat. She had also served as Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the Honourable Minister of the FCT.
