Femi Branch criticizes cinemas for promoting one movie over others

Femi Branch, popular Nollywood actor has criticized cinemas for promoting one movie above others.

The popular actor concerns was made know during a get together event for Toyin Abraham’s latest film, “Alakada Bad and Bougie,” at a cinema.

Branch in a video, revealed that cinema staff often wear promotional T-shirts for one film, remove media cards for other films from their counters, and replace them with those of the promoted film.

He further alleged that some cinema staff lobby patrons into watching certain movies and assuring them that it’s better than their real choice.

Branch also emphasized that cinemas should not choose what people watch, warning those engaging in such practice to stop.

He noted that this behavior creates division within the industry and appealed for an even playing field for producers.
