FG Arraigns Senator Natasha Over False Assassination Allegation Against Senate President

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been arraigned by the Federal Government on a three-count charge.
FCNN gathered that the charges are related to alleged defamation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
Akpoti-Uduaghan allegedly accused Akpabio and Bello of plotting to assassinate her in a television interview.However,she claimed that Akpabio and Bello discussed eliminating her, and that Akpabio withdrew her security to make her vulnerable to attacks.

Count one: Making a false statement that could harm Akpabio’s reputation.Count two: Making an imputation that could harm someone’s reputation, contrary to Section 391 of the Penal Code Law.Count three: Making certain imputations concerning Akpabio during a telephone conversation with Sandra C. Duru on March 27, 2025.
Akpoti-Uduaghan arrived at the court premises accompanied by her husband, Oby Ezekwesili, Aisha Yesufu, and her supporters.
