Fintiri Clears N8 Billion Gratuity Backlog for Adamawa Retirees
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved a total of ₦8 billion to settle the longstanding backlog of gratuities owed to retirees across the state. According to the governor, ₦5 billion has been allocated specifically to clear the gratuities of retired civil servants under the state government. In addition, another ₦3 billion has been earmarked to pay off outstanding entitlements owed to local government retirees.
Governor Fintiri noted that this move is part of a broader commitment to ensure prompt and fair compensation for retirees, many of whom have waited years for their benefits.
