
Fintiri Clears N8 Billion Gratuity Backlog for Adamawa Retirees
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved a total of ₦8 billion to settle the longstanding backlog of gratuities owed to retirees across the state. This significant financial commitment underscores his administration’s continued efforts to prioritize the welfare of senior citizens who served the state diligently.

According to the governor, ₦5 billion has been allocated specifically to clear the gratuities of retired civil servants under the state government. In addition, another ₦3 billion has been earmarked to pay off outstanding entitlements owed to local government retirees.
Governor Fintiri noted that this move is part of a broader commitment to ensure prompt and fair compensation for retirees, many of whom have waited years for their benefits. He emphasized that his administration remains resolute in restoring dignity to public service and improving the lives of pensioners throughout Adamawa State.
