Firm guarantees speedy implementation of 20,000 solar light projects

A lighting infrastructure solutions provider, known as LEDCo Limited, has unveiled plans to make quick implementation of the recently announced 20,000 solar light project in Lagos.
Earlier this month, FCNN gathered that the company entered a partnership with the Lagos State Government for the implementation of a landmark Solar Street Lighting Project which will also deliver 6MW of renewable solar power and 24.5MWh of energy storage.
Ms. Fatimata Abiola-Odunowo, the Executive Director of LEDCo Limited, made it known on Thursday that the new project would be deployed across the states using LEDCo’s state-of-the-art NightSUN, an all-in-one solar light across Lagos.
“We are excited to have been chosen by the Lagos state government for this landmark project. Over the years, we have been known to deliver quality jobs and this time around LEDCo will ensure speedy delivery of this job across the state as agreed in our contract using NightSun, a leading solar power technology. We believe that Lagos as the centre of excellence deserves the best in terms of quality of service deliver and that is what would ensure as a firm,” she said.
Ms. Abiola-Odunowo, also added that each NightSUN unit integrates advanced technology, including smart monitoring systems, GPS tracking, and a robust 10-year warranty, ensuring reliability and efficient operation.
The agreement for the Solar Street Lighting Project was formally signed by the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), Mr Abiodun Ogunleye, on behalf of the Lagos State Government and Ms. Abiola-Odunowo on behalf of LEDCo.
The signing ceremony was also witnessed by senior officials from the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, including the Permanent Secretary, Engr (Mrs) Abiola Kosegbe; the General Manager of the Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB), Engr K.A.T. Balogun; the Head of Legal, LSEB, Mrs Adetokunbo Ladega; and the Head of Legal, MEMR, Mrs Catherine Bello. Also in attendance was Otunba AbdulRahman Abiola-Odunowo, CEO of LEDCo Limited.
