FIRS Star, Dr. Ekechukwu, Honoured at Bayelsa Media Awards, Bags Most Supportive Corporate Personality

The Assistant Director of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the most senior FIRS staff in Bayelsa State, Dr. Sabina Ego Ekechukwu, has been honored with the prestigious title of “Most Supportive Corporate Personality of the Year” at the 12th (Dozenth) Edition of the Bayelsa Media Awards (BMA) 2025.
The award ceremony, which took place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Lady Daima Memorial Event Centre, Osiri Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa, brought together top dignitaries, industry leaders, media executives, and public officials from different works of life across the country.
According to a statement signed by the Project Manager of the Bayelsa Media Awards Committee, Mr. Victor Binawari, and made available to journalists on the 9th of October 2025.
The recognition was presented to Dr. Ekechukwu in appreciation of her outstanding contributions to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and her unwavering support for community development initiatives within and beyond Bayelsa State.
“This recognition honors Dr. Sabina Ego Ekechukwu’s exemplary dedication to corporate responsibility, her inspiring leadership, and her passion for improving lives through sustainable community engagement,” the statement read.
“The Bayelsa Media Awards Committee commended Dr. Ekechukwu for her commitment to excellence, ethical leadership, and continuous drive to make positive social impact, describing her as a model for responsible corporate citizenship.
“Dr. Ekechukwu’s award adds to a growing list of honors celebrating her contributions to national development and corporate excellence through her role in the FIRS.
