First Lady Receives Traditional Title in Gombe

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been honored with the traditional title of Sarauniyar Yaki (Queen Warrior) of Akko Emirate in Gombe State.
The Lamido Akko, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Atiku, conferred the title on Mrs. Tinubu on Thursday during her two-day working visit to the state, citing her dedication to advancing the welfare of vulnerable groups across the country.
In her acceptance remarks, the First Lady expressed appreciation to the monarch and pledged to continue championing initiatives that promote the well-being of women and the girl child. She further appealed to traditional rulers in the state to support her advocacy efforts.
The event was graced by Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, and other dignitaries.

As part of her visit, Mrs. Tinubu is also scheduled to launch the Renewed Hope Initiative Flow With Confidence Project, a national menstrual health program designed to support schoolgirls.
