FRAUD: Yahaya Bello begs Tinubu to intervene between him, EFCC

The Media office of the embattled ex Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has called on President Bola Tinubu to sway into the fracas between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the ex-governor.

This was contained in a statement signed by Ohiare Michael, which lambasted the EFCC’s conduct, calling its recent releases and actions as biased. The office urged President Tinubu to step in, emphasizing the need for the fight against corruption to remain impartial.

According to Michael, the anti-graft agency’s approach to the attempt to arrest the former governor was more of an “embarrassment” to the agency, alleging that the action was driven by undisclosed personal and political interests rather than a genuine commitment to combating corruption

. “If the EFCC was truly interested in prosecution, would the agency not have taken him in on that day?” the office inquired. This plea follows the EFCC’s declaration of Bello as wanted after his recent visit to their office.
