From Herdsman to Lecturer: Adamu Garba’s Amazing Rise

Adamu Garba’s life is a true example of hard work and determination.He started out as a cattle herdsman before getting a job as a security guard at the Federal University Wukari, Taraba State, in 2012. At the time, he only had an NCE qualification. He worked hard and was later promoted in the same department.

Garba didn’t stop there he applied through Direct Entry to study Sociology at the same university. Earlier this year, he graduated with a Second-Class Upper (2:1) degree.

Today, he works as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Sociology at the same school where he once worked as a guard. His story shows that with focus and effort, dreams can come true no matter where you start.
