Fulani Community Condemns Killing of Soldiers, Accuses Army of Bias in Taraba Crisis
The Fulani community in Karim Lamido, Taraba State, has condemned the killing of two soldiers on a peace mission in the area.
Speaking on the incident, the community’s secretary, Alhaji Ahmed Isa Karim, alleged that the army acted in a biased manner by siding with the Bandawa militia, which resulted in the killing of Fulani people and their cattle.
He appealed to the authorities to adopt an amicable and impartial approach in resolving the crisis.
The police and Nigerian Army have since confirmed the incident, while additional security personnel have been deployed to restore calm in the area.
