
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has expressed deep sorrow over a tragic incident that occurred during an Easter procession in Billiri, where a trailer truck transporting grains lost control and crashed into a group of Christian faithful, killing five people and injuring many.
The Governor described the incident as “heartbreaking and regrettable” and extended his condolences to the families of the victims and those injured. He directed the relevant authorities to investigate the accident and promised that those responsible would be held accountable.

Governor Yahaya also called on residents to remain calm and law-abiding, assuring that the government is committed to providing medical care to the victims and ensuring that those responsible for the incident face the law.
