Gospel Singer Big Bolaji Laid to Rest in Ibadan

Renowned Nigerian gospel artiste, Bolaji Olanrewaju — widely known as Big Bolaji — has been buried in Ibadan, Oyo State. He passed away on April 19 at the age of 50, following a brief illness.
Funeral activities began on Wednesday with a service and lying-in-state at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan.
The solemn ceremony of the Renowned Nigerian gospel artiste was attended by family, close friends, and fellow gospel musicians who came to honor his memory.
Notable figures in attendance included gospel artists Tosin Bee, Mike Abdul, Bidemi Olaoba, Yetunde Are, and comedian Woli Agba.
Poignant scenes shared on social media showed pallbearers carrying Bolaji’s flower-adorned casket into the venue as mourners observed in silence.
A touching tribute video, celebrating his musical legacy and spiritual influence, was played during the service — moving many to tears and applause.

After the service, the funeral procession moved to All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan, where Big Bolaji was laid to rest. His wife, siblings, and loved ones stood in solemn reflection as he was committed to the earth.
