Yvonne Jegede Speaks Out: “Leave Me Out of Nedu’s Podcast Drama”
Actress Yvonne Jegede has addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding The Honest Bunch Podcast and its lead host, Nedu, making it clear that she wants no part in the unfolding drama.
Jegede, who was previously caught up in a controversy after appearing on the podcast, stated that she has long moved on from the unpleasant experience and has no interest in revisiting it.
Recalling the backlash she faced after her episode aired, Jegede revealed how online trolls attacked her, fueled by promotional materials shared by Nedu that misrepresented her statements.
“The clips cut from my episode on that show for promotional purposes were designed to attract trolls, and my brand was subjected to all sorts of dragging. While this was happening, Nedu, who was in my WhatsApp messages asking me out, was simultaneously posting materials that further fueled the negative attacks on me,” she stated.
Jegede also denied allegations that she paid to appear on the show, dismissing them as false. She clarified that she could not have paid for an interview promoting a movie she neither produced nor owned.
Despite her negative experience, Jegede emphasized that she has forgiven Nedu and the podcast team, expressing her desire to move forward.
“At the time, I was livid, angry, and bitter. However, with time and the support of quality people around me, I chose to let go and sincerely, wholeheartedly forgave both Nedu and the show,” she said.

Addressing those urging her to retaliate now that Nedu is facing backlash, Jegede maintained her stance of non-engagement.
“I have received calls asking me to speak out or troll him now that he is supposedly down. My response remains the same, I will not. The best time to kick a man is certainly not when he is down. I have forgiven him and genuinely wish him nothing but the best. More importantly, I hope he learns from this experience and realizes that we gain nothing; not even YouTube views by bringing others down.”
Jegede concluded by firmly requesting that her name not be dragged into the ongoing controversy, stating that she has learned her lessons and moved on.
